Frequently asked questions
Where are you located, and how can I visit?
We are located in Athens, GA. Our rescue is on private property, so kitten meetings are by appointment only. Please email us or DM on social media to schedule a meeting.
What is your adoption fee and what does it cover?
Our adoption fee is $125. This includes spay/neuter, FelV/FVRCP vaccinations, and rabies vaccination if over 4lbs. Rabies vaccination is not included for kittens adopted under 4lbs, as they are too small to receive it.
When are kittens ready to be adopted?
We adopt out after 8 weeks of age, spay/neuter, and vaccinations. Pre-adoptions are available for younger kittens, meaning if you fill out our adoption application and are approved to adopt, we will hold the kitten of your choice until they are ready to go home.
do i have to pay a deposit for pre-adoption?
No, you do not need to pay a deposit to place a hold on any kitten, and you are free to change your mind at any time between the hold being placed and adoption day. We do ask that you please inform us if you change your mind or adopt a different animal, so that we can put the held kitten back up for adoption as quickly as possible.
The shelters are full. will you take my unwanted pet?
No, this is not how we operate. We pull at-risk kittens from local shelters and animal control, or we take special needs kittens on a case by case basis. We are very small and have one singular full-time rescuer and our capacity is very low.
Can I volunteer/foster for you?
Most likely absolutely yes! We very much need both volunteers and fosters. If you are interested in helping us out, please email or DM on social media and we’ll schedule a time to talk!
How can I support your rescue?
Our biggest need at all times is donations for veterinary costs and upkeep bills, and any little amount helps! We have many ways to donate, which can be found both here and in our social media links. We also have an Amazon wishlist.
